    Chipotle partnered with BetterUp to develop high performing teams that were invested in their future with the company. Chipotle used BetterUp’s 1:1 lead coaching to coach not just corporate leaders, but employees on the ground floor. After coaching, these employees enjoyed higher individual performance ratings, team performance ratings, and promotion rates compared to their non-coached peers. That’s a whole cohort of employees sticking around at Chipotle, helping to grow Chipotle’s brand while they grow their own careers, too.

    With Chipotle’s BetterUp coaching initiative, manager effectiveness skyrocketed. Coached managers significantly outperformed non-coached managers, and those benefits were passed on to their teams, who received outstanding performance reviews 1.7X more than teams with non-coached managers. Additionally, field managers with a BetterUp coach had teams that exceeded expectations 1.3X more than teams with non-coached managers.

    Chipotle employees using BetterUp also received higher performance ratings and were promoted at higher rates than those without coaching. Corporate employees received 1.5X more outstanding performance reviews and 1.2X more promotions, while field leaders received 4.3X more outstanding performance reviews and 1.8X more promotions.
